JESE Masticating Juicer, Tastier Juice, Healthier Life!

Does juicer speed really matter? Well, sort of but perhaps not in the way you might have been led to believe. Especially if you’ve read some of the nonsense that we see masquerading as facts on other websites. We prefer to take a rational look at the relevance of juicer speed in this review of JESE Masticating Juicer and make sure we don’t insult our readers with the kind of unsupportable fibs published on other review sites.

Are Low Speed Juicers Better Than Centrifugal Juicers?

When it comes to making juices, the nutritional quality is determined by two factors which are how well the plant fibres are broken down and the level of force used to separate the juice from the pulp. Yield varies between types of juicer on different ingredients.

For example you wouldn’t want to juice berries in a centrifugal juicer because its too wasteful. But that same centrifugal juicer might outperform some masticating juicers for carrot juice yield.

The quality of a juice is actually determined by the masticating process and not the RPM speed. Generally speaking, all masticating juicers are believed to offer more nutrients in the juice due to the grinding and chewing action they have on the produce, which does a more thorough job of breaking down the plant cells and releasing the goodness.

Slow juicers are slow because they need to use a pressing force to get the juice through the filter without creating too much heat and friction. A low speed induction motor is needed for that pressing force. The speed is simply a necessary aspect of the juicing process in each case.

One thing that centrifugal models don’t do quite as well as masticating juicers is to achieve a more efficient breakdown of the plant fibres.

  • In a masticating juicer the fibres and cells are chewed and ground together, which is believed to help in releasing more of the “sticky” nutrients in the plant cells and membranes.
  • In a centrifugal juicer the cell walls are broken open very quickly and the liquid content is released by the centrifugal force of a fast spinning filter basket. There is very little time or opportunity for the cells to be broken down completely, so the juice is visibly a bit less rich and colourful from a centrifugal.

Centrifugals also incorporate air, so the juice will discolour more quickly due to oxidation. That’s not a big problem if you are drinking your juice when you make it, but slow juicers do give a longer shelf life.

Excellent Slow Juicer: JESE Masticating Juicer

JESE Masticating Juicer is a a low speed 35-50 RPM & quiet masticating juicer that extracts juice instead of grinding thus maintaining the color, taste and vitamins of the juice. With the dual stage format pulp is simultaneously separated from the main juice, and then squeezed until dry, getting the most out of all the ingredients.

This juicer features a sleek & modern design and yet it is compact enough to save you some kitchen space. It is made from stainless steel and silicone components which are both BPA free. These are quality, food-grade anti-oxidation materials which might be one of the reasons it is FDA approved.

A nice feature of this juicer is the automatic shut down function in case of over-heating or overloading. It will automatically shut down to prevent danger effectively, bringing safer using experience.

Finally, cleaning the juicer is ofthen a big headache, but for JESE juicer, nothing is troublesome. It comes with a little cute brush and a drain rack, each part of the machine can be cleaned and assembled with ease.

It is a little weighty but that might just be because it is made from quality materials. However, it doesn’t have all parts available for replacement so if you break a part, get ready to buy a new one.
